Fun Light

So, been some time since the last update. We're currently sitting at 12/16 Heroic after killing Heroic Lei-shi yesterday.

We're currently looking to bring in one or two more people to complete our roster.

We're in search of an exceptional DPS (prefer Elemental shaman / shadow priest or a melee DPS but got room for anything) and a Holy Paladin (Huge plus if you can play ret on a good level as well)

So due to my fantastic raid leading and pretty face, Heroic Spirit Kings, Will of the Emperor and Windlord have had to accept defeat putting us at 8/16 Heroic. We have killed 2 heroics each week for the last 2 weeks and the main reason why we've started to pick up in progression again is due us catching up on gear as we have replaced 4-5 people this tier so far meaning we've had ilvl 465 people jumping in after 5 weeks of raiding.

There are no kill videos as of yet but I'll post the new heroic kills next week.

Heroic Blade Lord took longer than what we had wanted but oh well, shit happens.

We've turned out heads towards MV now and hopefully we'll finish Heroic spirit kings this reset.

As always, watch in 1080p and don't have the volume at max because I fucked up the rendering causing the bass to become disorted at high volumes.

[Edit Update] We're looking for 1 healer (not druid) asap to iump directly into heroic progression with us. Prefer a priest/paladin but we'll review each application with an open mind regardless of your class.

So, been some time since the last update.

We've been replacing quite a lot of people lately which made us trail on progress as people jumped in with ilvl 465 gear when most guilds had 2-3 heroics down in MV already. Nevertheless we're starting to catch up on gear again and last week we killed Heroic Gara'jal and Elegon with ease. We'll be looking to get more HCs down as soon as possible. 

Here is a video of our second Heroic Gara'jal kill, a bit derp at times and people got one shot at the end but here goes, watch in 1080p.

A breif updade. We've killed all normal bosses and 1/6 Heroic (Second heroic will fall very soon). However, we're raiding with an incomplete roster which does slow things down.

We are currently looking for 1 Healer (not druid) asap.

For the upcoming expansion, Mists of Pandaria, recruitment is now open for all ranks. Whether you're a pro raider looking for an end-game guild or a 'social' looking for a nice guild to have fun with, Fun Light is right for you. Look forward to seeing a new, pvp-oriented side of Fun Light as well. 

Regardless of class we are interested in recruiting exceptional players whose primary goal is to progress and help the guild as much as possible. Updating to let you know  that first group killed Heroic Spine of Deathwing tonight bringing us to 7/8 Heroic Dragon Soul and realm rank 5 which is very respectable given that we raid roughly half or even less than all other semi-harcore / hardcore guilds. Very well done to everyone.

In total we spent roughly 40 wipes on the encounter. The fight was very refreshing due to its static nature compared to the somewhat rng/bug shithole that is warmaster, although warmaster now is very easy for us. The fight would have been very challenging pre-nerf for us given that we run with a sub-optimal setup (hi enhancement shaman) and as we always go with the 10 same people and have as a policy not to let people sit out for a specifc encounter.

We'll be switching our focus to Heroic Madness and will be aiming to get some really good tries on sunday. Also the amount of shit loot that drops is amazing, QQ.

No fraps of it as I didn't wanna risk having FPS problems, we'll see next week.

We also hold our thumbs that our second raid group will go from 4/8 Heroic to 5/8 Heroic this week as well.

Our Heroic Warmaster kill - First group is now up to 6/8 Heroic and we'll start with heroic spine this week already.

What can I say - this one was a bitch.

We ended up spending quite a lot more time on warmaster than pretty much any other fights in Cataclysm so far and somewhere at 100th wipe the jokes started to run a bit short.

Nonetheless, with the epic motivational speeches by our tired blood DK, we managed to get the kill regardless! Good job everyone! We'll be continuing to the now nerfed Spine HC next.

Dotbot should be uploading a video of our kill a bit later on after he edits a few lock fails o... finds the correct music to go with it. :)

Hi there,

Just a quick update - we downed Ultraxion HC tonight and as we thought, a far easier encounter than Hagara for instance in terms of mechanics. We had quite a few silly wipes and as a result, didn't have many cooldowns up for the actual kill.

=> Dotbot is hesitant to upload the video without his doomguard being available at pull, but we all know he has nothing to be ashamed of when Casu is in the raid...

We decided to leave this week's DS to one day only due to attendance problems on sunday, and will continue with a fresh mind to lootship next lockout. :)

[Dotbotdotcom's edit]: I would upload a video but I actually forgot to fraps the kill. I would just like to point out that your guys' ability to wipe right after I summon my doomguard and focus on the tries when it's down is admirable.

Just updating that we finished off Hagara heroic, will kill 5/8 next week as we know we can do ultraxion easily with our DPS, we have just done the heroics in order for some reason.

Zon'ozz bites the dust after some minor adjustments to our strategy and CD management. The raid was Fun Light in a nutshell; get a new heroic down without a complete roster and even a pug from trade only to proceed to wipe on trash, brilliant stuff. Despite some brain fart moments, we did well overall with a lot of people getting some decent rankings on a few fights and for once we had proper loot drop, although a bit too much of protector tokens as usual.

As always Casu, we appreciate that you were unable to attend, progress now and then is quite nice.

We should be getting 4/8 very soon given that we already have had some wipes on Hagara. We are also still recruiting for our second raid group.

Also, I played like shit in the video, I blame bad UI (DBM bars all over the place) and first time playing affliction in ages.

Just posting a video of one of our Heroic Morchok kills, probably our worst heroic morchok kill but it is the only one we got so enjoy. Includes me letting hind die and taunting resto shamans.

Hey Guys,

                  There we go. After a couple of wipes (due to "lack of healing" or enrage because of *cough* low dps *cough*) we finally managed to kill Yor'Sahj. With these 2 bosses down we are 7th on TN and 1194th worldwide which isn't that bad considering that we only raid 2 times a week. Morchok was too easy and didn't deserve a screenshot.

On a different note, as the Christmas Holiday is approaching we, Fun Light, wish you a merry christmas and we promise that we'll come with updates on the heroic progress. Until then, take a look at this marvellous screenshot.

And so Deathwing fell due to the glorious and inspirational leading of Dotbotdotcom (Oddly enough, I have this hunch that not everyone agrees) after 1 hour of wiping while learning the fight / having some silly wipes. Heroics coming up! Hopefully the gap between normals and heroics is significant and will give us many wipes and headaches as the normals were a bit of a let down in terms of difficulty.
